How we source and check our data
This page states where every number on the site comes from, how often it is refreshed, and what we do not do with it. It is written so that any figure we publish can be traced back to its source and checked.
Sources
| What | Where it comes from | Refresh |
|---|---|---|
| Issue master, open and close dates, price bands | NSE public issue data and BSE public-issue filings | Eight times a day |
| Lot size, face value, lead managers, registrar, prospectus | The exchange filing for that issue, NSE or BSE | On change, then daily |
| Subscription figures by category, day by day | NSE and BSE bidding data, captured with the exchange's own timestamp | Through each bidding day |
| Listing-day and current prices | NSE end-of-day bhavcopy | Daily after market close |
| Grey market premium | A published grey-market board, recorded with the date it was quoted | Eight times a day |
The site currently tracks 1,440 issues in its exchange record and publishes 1,608 per-issue pages. Exchange sources are public endpoints, not a licensed feed; when one is unavailable we leave the previous value in place rather than guessing, and say so on the page.
Rules we hold to
- Nothing is invented. A figure we cannot source is shown as an em dash, never estimated, interpolated or carried over silently.
- Dates come from the exchange. Where a grey-market board and the exchange disagree on a date, band or lot, the exchange wins.
- Every premium carries its date. Grey market premium is unofficial and unregulated. We publish it as a quote with a timestamp, never as a prediction of the listing price.
- Expected dates are labelled expected. Allotment and listing dates before they are confirmed are derived from SEBI's T+3 timeline and marked as such.
- No advice. We do not rate issues, recommend applications, or imply that any return is likely or guaranteed.
- Corrections. When a figure is found wrong it is corrected at the source and every page carrying it regenerates on the next run.
Known limits
Grey-market premiums are quoted by dealers in an unregulated market and cannot be independently verified; we score our own record against reality on the GMP accuracy page. Issues that list only on BSE's SME platform carry BSE's filing data, which is formatted differently from NSE's. Prices are price-only and are not adjusted for corporate actions. Subscription figures are the exchange's own published counts and are revised by the exchange itself during a bidding day.
