2. Grey Market Premium is unofficial data
GMP, kostak and subject-to-sauda figures describe activity in an unofficial, unregulated grey market that operates outside SEBI's purview and outside the stock exchanges. These numbers are unverifiable by nature, can be stale or manipulated — especially for small SME issues — and routinely diverge from actual listing prices in both directions. We publish them strictly as a sentiment indicator with their source and as-of timestamp. We do not participate in, facilitate or encourage grey-market transactions, which carry counterparty risk with no legal protection.
